It's Sneak Peek Time Again.....

On the DeNami blog. Today the blog is featuring some of the new products with a Halloween theme. I chose the Trick or Treat Chickies, Candy Corn, Trick or Tweet and the Jack O Lantern Face from the petit four Halloween Stamp Set for my card. These stamps are absolutely adorable! I had so much fun putting it all together.

I started out with DeNami's white cardstock for my base. On another piece of white cardstock I stamped the Candy Corn stamp and used my Copics to achieve the colors that I wanted. This is a great way to create patterned paper to match your theme. I did the same thing using the new purple cardstock and stamped the Jack O Lantern Face with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I then adhered the two patterned pieces to Denami's Black CS. I cut two triangle shapes, one out of Golden Tangerine CS and one out of White CS. I stamped Trick or Tweet with Black Memento Ink on the White CS. I thought the Tangerine CS needed a decorative edge so I used a mini scallop scissor on some orange cardstock to finish it off. Then I adhered the triangles to the upper right hand corner to create the look of the purple paper being turned back. I added some of DeNami's new purple and orange buttons. Look for these buttons in DeNami's upcoming Fall Winter release July1st.

Moving along I then took some of DeNami's new Orange Grosgrain Ribbon and covered the seam between the candy corn patterned paper and the purple paper. Then I stamped the Trick or Tweet Chickies with Memento's Black Tuxedo Ink and used my Copics to design their Halloween costumes. I added some Citrone Sparklets to the chickies faces to make them really stand out. I just love those chickies. :) I also added a mini scallop edge with orange cs and then matted it in Black CS. I finished it off with a little bow made from the new Orange Grosgrain Ribbon. So much fun! Hope you like it.

Don't forget to hop over to the DeNami blog today to see what some of the other talented DeNami designers have created using the new Halloween stamps.

Have a great day!

Time for another sneak peek......

On the DeNami Design blog today you will find more adorable stamps featuring DeNami's new owl stamp sets. They are just toooooooo cute. :) The Fall/Winter release is set for July 1st and believe me you won't be disappointed.

For my card today I started out with DeNami's sky blue and lime cardstock. It has a slight texture that I really like giving your cards a little more interest. With a craft knife I cut a swirly line through the sky blue CS and then attached the small flowers that I had made from the Whimsical Flowers set.  I stamped the flowers in SU Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze ink and punched them out with EK Success's Small Flower punch. I love the white border around the petals. I dabbed a little glue and extra fine glitter to make them pop a bit.

Then I stamped little Miss Owl on DeNami's White CS using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her in with some Copics. I highlighted her with DeNami's Medium Dot Circle Frame using SU Baja Breeze ink. I punched the image out with Marvy's 2" Scallop Punch and added a little bit of glue and extra fine glitter again.

No card is complete without a heartfelt sentiment, so I used DeNami's new "Owl always be your friend". Don't you just love that. :)

Thanks for stopping by friends.   Have a blessed day!

And the winner is.........

Jennifer E.! Please contact me and leave me your address info so that I can get your DVD out to you right away. Thank you to all of you who left me comments over the last few days. You are all so sweet!!!

I am continuing to work on my craft room today as it is going to be 90 degrees and humid here in the Midwest. Ugh......   Oh well, I won't feel so bad being inside. I snapped a photo of two of the cubes that I used to make my desk. I love these cubes! You can purchase them at Michaels but they are a bit expensive. I ended up using a 40% off coupon on each one and got the price down to $19.99 each. I took two cubes that are designed for paper storage and flipped them horizontally and stacked them on top of one another. This makes a great storage area for things that I tend to use often like my paper trimmer, rulers, Scor pal and Big Shot die cutter. I ended up using 12 cubes total for my desk, but now everything is within reach. I am now in the process of looking for a desktop. I will need a 33 X 73 top so if you have any suggestions please leave me a comment.  I would really appreciate it!

Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. Bless you all!

Theme Challenge #2 at DeNami!

Happy Sunday to all of you. I hope you are enjoying your weekend. I am sorry that my posts have been few and far between these days. Life gets a bit too hectic sometimes doesn't it?

I am excited to say that DeNami Design is hosting a another theme challenge on their blog today. The theme is to create something summer or tropical. I chose both a Tropical & Summer theme and used DeNami's small watermelon stamp from the Tropical Fruit Stamp Set. The fruit is this set is so adorable! I also grabbed one of my favorite sentiments from DeNami's Assorted Greetings Stamp Set. This is another Petit Four set that is soooo versatile....LOVE it!

One of the things I love about the DeNami line of stamps is all the various borders and frame stamps that coordinate with the stamp line and the Marvy Punches. I makes it so easy. I used the Medium Dot Circle Frame to highlight the watermelon and sentiment images. I wanted to extend the dot theme so I created some background paper using the Mini Polka Dot stamp and two different colors of ink.

This card went together really quickly and was simple to do. I love it when that happens. Well, enjoy the rest of your weekend and Happy Fathers Day to all you dads.

Featured Product At DeNami!

It is time for another featured product over on the DeNami Design Blog today. DeNami is showcasing their Rosevine Heart stamp. This stamp has so many intricate details and is a lot of fun to work with. For my card today I decided to use the Iridescent Aquamarine CS and embossed the stamped image with some white embossing powder. I then added a little bit of extra fine glitter(my favorite) to the roses to make them pop. DeNami has many different sparklet glitters to choose from so don't forget to check out all the colors.

No card is complete without a little ribbon and so I added some 1/4"sheer white ribbon. DeNami's Small Congratulations stamp and a few tiny pearls helped to achieve the fresh, clean look that I was hoping for. I wanted an envelope to pull everything together so I cut a 1/2"piece of Iridescent CS, stamped it with DeNami's Mini Swirl Flourish stamp, embossed it, added a few small pearls and adhered it to the top of the flap to complete the look. I hope you like it. :)

Have a blessed day!

You are in my prayers....

Hello my friends. I have a quick post today using one of DeNami's sentiment stamps called Garden Prayers Circle. I love the way the sentiment is tucked in amongst the flowers and butterflies...so sweet. I layered the image with Marvy's 2", 2 1/2 " and 3"scallop circle punches. DeNami's Golden Tangerine cardstock is so bright and cheery so I thought it would work great with this card. I finished the card off with a touch of DeNami's 5/8" White Grosgrain ribbon.

I find myself going to this stamp over and over again. This sentiment works well for a sympathy card or a card of encouragement. I hope you like it.

Have a great Wednesday!

Product Challenge at DeNami!

Happy Saturday everyone! There is an exciting challenge going on over on the DeNami Design Blog today that you won't want to miss. Here is a sneak peek at the prize you could win. :)

The challenge features DeNami's templates and are they ever cute. I chose the purse template since it is one of my favorites. :) This little purse is just too cute and I thought it would make the perfect invitation.

I decided to use White, Black and Lime for my color choice. I wanted my purse to look very chic so I used my PTI's medium scallop die along with DeNami's Black CS to create a nifty scallop edge. I tucked the scallop under the front flap of the purse and adhered it with Score Tape. After cutting out my purse template I knew that I wanted to line the purse with DeNami's slightly textured Lime cardstock. I did this by making a copy of the purse template on my printer. Then I cut off the sides and bottom half of the template and placed it on the Lime CS, traced around it, cut it out and the liner fit perfectly! I set the liner aside until I finished making my purse handle. I created a handle using DeNami's Wh/Black Dots 5/8" ribbon. I made two slits with a craft knife on the top fold mark of the purse and slipped the ribbon through the slits and glued the ends down.

Then I covered the inside of the purse with the Lime liner so that I could hide the ribbon ends.

After making my liner I cut the top half of my template copy and set it aside to use to make the actual invite. I stamped the front of the purse with DeNami's Solid Decorative Crest and then I stamped the bottom front and back of the purse with DeNami's Mini Solid Filigree stamp. I used Stampin' Up's Kiwi Kiss as this ink matches perfectly with the Lime CS. I added a few rhinestones on the Crest and then finished putting my purse together with some Score Tape. I also added a velcro circle on the inside front flap to help keep the purse closed.

To make the written portion of the invite I grabbed the top half of my template copy that I set aside earlier and placed it on a piece of Lime CS, traced around it, cut it out, and then I had my base for the invite. I adhered a scallop border to the top of the Lime CS. Then I printed the words that I wanted to use in the invite in a 12 font on White CS and then positioned my template copy over the words and  repeated the step above, and then adhered it to the base. For the front of the base I printed out the words "You're Invited" in a 12 font on White CS and then stamped DeNami's Decorative Crest Circle using Tuxedo Black Memento ink over the top of the words using my handy dandy Stamp-a-ma-jig for proper placement.  I cut out the circle, added extra fine glitter and a few rhinestones and then adhered it to the front of my invite base.

What's a party without chocolate right? So..I included a Ghirardelli Mint in my invite.  I hope you like it!

Have a wonderful weekend!
