I hope that you all had a blessed Christmas. It is always so much fun to get together with family and friends and celebrate the birth of our Savior.
I want to say thank you to all of you who have followed me over the last year. I really appreciate all of your kind words. I also want to thank Paulina, Nami and Gary from DeNami Design for the opportunity to be able to design for them this past year.
This will be my last post as a DT member for DeNami. I have enjoyed working with everyone on the DeNami team. It has been such a wonderful opportunity for me. :)
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. I wish you all a happy and healthy 2011!

Yes, its time for another featured product over on the DeNami Design blog. Paulina chose one of my favorite stamps from the fall/winter line.... the Winter Evergreen Tree. This stamp is so versitile! I put together a simple gift card by stamping my image on some Sky Blue cardstock with Cloud White Versa Magic ink and then sprinkled it with some of DeNami's White Embossing Powder to make it pop. Using some Ruby Red liquid pearls I added some ornaments. This technique is so easy and effective!
To finish off the card I stamped and embossed the "for you" sentiment from the Everyday Greetings petite four collection and then added a touch of ribbon from my stash. I hope you are all having fun getting ready for the holiday. DeNami's line of holiday stamps sure makes it easier!
Have a blessed day and thanks so much for stopping by!

I hope you are all doing well today. I have been working on getting all of my Christmas presents wrapped and thought I would share a tag that I made.
I love DeNami's Medium Lacy Flake stamp. I used The Essential Glue Pad to stamp my image on a 1 3/4 " circle made from white cardstock and then sprinkled some of DeNami's Silver Glitter to give it some bling. I adhered this piece onto some red cardstock that I punched out using the 2" scallop circle punch. I then glued that piece onto a white tag that I had in my stash and added some red, white and green thread.
This came together so quickly that I made many more and just changed the colors to match my gift wrap. So fun and easy! I hope you are getting a chance to enjoy the season.
Blessings to you,

It's DeNami product challenge time again and this time Paulina decided to challenge us to use DeNami's paper punches. I chose the 2" scallop circle punch by Marvy. This punch is so versatile and coordinates beautifully with a 1 3/4" circle punch.
I used DeNami's white cardstock as my card base and then I cut a 5 X 4 piece of sky blue cardstock and stamped the Small Classic Christmas stamp in SU's craft white ink and embossed it using DeNami's white embossing powder. I stamped and embossed the Medium Lacy Snowflake on 3 pieces of 1 3/4" circles on sky blue cardstock and then adhered them onto 3 of the 2" scallop circles in white. Then I adhered them to the front of the card. Easy peasy! Hope you like it.
We had four inches of snow today! Winter has definitely arrived here in the Midwest.
Thanks so much for visiting me today! :)

Hi Everyone! Just wanted to pop in and show you a card I created using DeNami's Season's Tweetings and Christmas Tweety Birds stamps. DeNami's whole line of chickie stamps are just adorable aren't they?
Starting with DeNami's white cardstock as my base I used PTI's March and April Color Couture printable paper line for my patterned paper choices. I stamped my sentiment and the tweety birds with Memento's black tuxedo ink and then I used various Copic Markers from my stash to color in the images.
I finished the card off with some red saddle stitched ribbon and various DeNami Boutique Buttons. The scallops were added using my Fiskars mini scallop scissors. Hope you like it!
Thanks for making me part of your day.

With Thanksgiving right around the corner I decided to post another card using DeNami's Pumpkin Patch Border stamp. This is one of my favorite stamps in their fall line. I used DeNami's Cream Cardstock as my base and then added a little color using SU's Kiwi Kiss and Pumpkin Pie. I created a diamond pattern on the Pumpkin Pie cardstock using my Scor Pal. This is one item I can't live without. Love it! I colored the pumpkins with some Copic Markers and then added a little Chocolate Brown ribbon to finish it off.
I hope you and yours have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Today is sketch challenge day over on the DeNami Design blog. DT member Ayana chose a great sketch for us this month. I decided to stick with a Fall theme and make a quick card featuring DeNami's Pumpkin Patch Border and Thinking of You from the All Occasions Sentiment stamp set.
This card came together quickly using DeNami's white cardstock and some of SU's pumpkin pie and a scalloped piece of kiwi kiss cardstock. I stamped the Thinking of You and the Pumpkin Patch Border stamp with some Rich Cocoa Memento ink and then colored the pumpkins with Copic markers. Using some gold twine and one of my espresso buttons I was able to create the fun crisscross look. Isn't this a fun sketch? I am anxious to see what you all do with it.
Have a great weekend!

Hello my friends! I hope you are all doing well. DeNami is featuring their Elegant Floral Arch stamp on the DeNami Design Blog today. This stamp truly lives up to its name. I love the elegant flair this gives to whatever you stamp it on.
I decided to make some party favors for my Christmas table this year and I thought this stamp would fit the bill. I stamped the Elegant Floral Arch and For You stamps with Memento's black tuxedo ink onto a piece of white cs that I ran through my Cuttlebug using PTI's Mat stack #1 die. I colored the floral image with various Copic markers from my stash. I dotted the interior portion of my flower with some White Opal Liquid Pearls by Ranger and then covered them with DeNami's Extra Fine Sparklets Gitter. I finished it off with 3 small Black Buttons topped with pearls.
I cut some of DeNami's red cardstock using my party favor it box #1 die from PTI and created my party favor container. I adhered the stamped piece onto the front of the favor with Scor -Tape and finished it off with a bow made out of red and white Baker's Twine from PTI.
I found some cute Peppermint candy at Target in the $1 section and I think that they finished off my project nicely. Hope you like it. :)
Blessings to you and yours,

I don't know about you but I think some of best things come in small packages. One of my favorite gift ideas is decorating hinged tins and filling them with candy, cards and other goodies.
I chose DeNami's Small Daisy Blossom stamp in a Fall color theme to match some ribbon that I have had in my stash for quite a while. This project came together very quickly. I plan to fill it with some Hershey nuggets and give it to a good friend.
Thanks so much for stopping by my friends. :)

Thanks for stopping by and good luck with the challenge!

Happy Halloween my friends! Just a quick post today to show you a fun enclosure card that I am using for a Halloween gift. I downloaded this curvy enclosure card from PTI's April Color Couture series.
Using DeNami's cute Small Jack O Lantern stamp and Boo sentiment from the Halloween stamp set I was able to whip this card up in now time at all.
Hope you all have a safe Halloween!

Hi Everyone! Just popping in today to share a quick gift idea. I have a friend who is a bit under the weather and needed a pick me up. The first thing that came to mind was chocolate naturally and one of my favorite sentiments from DeNami, "Sending you sunshine".
So..... I whipped a batch of my favorite chocolate chip cookies, popped them in a gift bag and finished it off with a sunflower adhered to DeNami's golden tangerine and chocolate brown cardstock and simple tag made from PTI's fillable frames #6. I stamped the sentiment in Stampin Up's So Saffron and finished the tag off with some brown polka dot ribbon from my stash.
Hope your day was filled with sunshine and have a blessed week!

Hi Everyone! It is featured product time over on the DeNami Design Blog today. The featured stamp is the Cornstalks stamp which I have been having a lot of fun with.
I decided to pair up the Cornstalks stamp with DeNami's new Scarecrow stamp. These two stamps work so well with one another. This card was super simple to create. I started out with an A2 size of DeNami's Leaf Green cardstock. Then I stamped the cornstalks in Memento Rich Cocoa ink on a 5 1/2 x 2" strip of cream cardstock, colored them in with Copic markers and adhered it to the front of the card.
Using DeNami's 3" Marvy Scallop Circle punch in Red cardstock and the 2 1/2" Scallop Circle punch in cream cardstock I layered the two on top of one another. I stamped the Scarecrow image onto the cream cardstock and then using PTI's pure poppy ink I stamped a dot border with DeNami's Demi Dot Circle Frame stamp. After coloring my scarecrow with some Copics I adhered it to my card and then I applied some yellow liquid pearls to the red scallop. Last but not least I stamped "Thinking of You" from DeNami's All Occasion Sentiments stamp set.
Hope you are having a good day. Thanks for stopping by!

If you are coming from Tina Covington's blog you have come to the right place. If you are participating in the DeNami's Autumn Blog Hop welcome to the fun!
I created this card using DeNami's Happy Thanksgiving and Leafy Vine Wreath stamped with Encore Gold metallic ink onto DeNami's Golden Tangerine Cardstock that had been cut out using SU Top Note Die. I really like these two stamps together. I used DeNami's Chocolate Brown Cardstock for the base of my card. I wanted to give the card a little glimmer so I added some gold liquid pearls around the edge of the top note and card with a few accents on the wreath.
A quick simple bow using some brown polka dot ribbon from my stash and VOILA! I hope you like it.
Your next stop on the hop is Lori Gunderson's blog. Have a wonderful time!!!!!

Hi everyone! It's product challenge time over on the DeNami Design blog and the product is RIBBON! One of my favorite embellishments to work with.
I have been in the Christmas mood lately.... don't ask me why, but I think I could listen to Christmas music and watch holiday classics all year long. As I was listening to the song Snowfall by Tony Bennett I came up with the idea for my card.
I started out with DeNami's white cardstock, then I stamped the Medium Lacy Snowflake with some of PTI"S Pure Poppy ink. After letting that dry for a minute or so I restamped the snowflake with The Essential Glue Pad glue and then sprinkled some Extra Fine Sparklet Glitter on top. For an extra bit of bling I added a clear rhinestone to the center.
I love the font of DeNami's Small Classic Merry Christmas stamp and thought it would go perfectly with my card, so with Onyx Black Versafine ink I stamped the image under my snowflake. Last but not least, I added a small bow with some 3/8" Red Grosgrain Ribbon and a small Black Button.
Hope you like it!

I have a Thank You card to share today which was inspired by the talented Debbie Olson. I love Debbie's style and always enjoy visiting her blog for creative inspiration. I created the leaf background for this card using PTI's new Leaf Prints stamp set. This is a great set for getting in the fall mood.
I randomly stamped various leaf images in Pure Poppy(PTI), Summer Sunrise(PTI), Spring Moss(PTI), Pumpkin Pie(SU) and Kiwi Kiss(SU) on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of PTI's white cardstock. I cut 6 - 4 3/4 x 3 1/4 and set 5 aside so that I could make more cards later. I mounted the stamped piece onto a piece of Pumpkin Pie(SU) cs and added some of PTI's Summer Sunrise saddle stitched ribbon.
I die cut the leaf image using PTI's new leaf die collection and stamped the coordinating stamp image in kiwi kiss(SU). Using a SU Thank You sentiment and some Memento Rich Cocoa ink I created my leaf tag. After attaching the tag under the ribbon I adhered the top portion of my card to some patterned cs that I had in my stash(so sorry but I couldn't find the manufacturer on the paper).
I ended up making six Thank You's which will come in very handy as I need to be sending some to all of my wonderful family and friends who helped me celebrate my big 5 0 last week.
Hope you are all doing well and thanks so much for stopping by today. :)

Today is sketch challenge day over on the DeNami Design blog. DT member Sherri chose a great sketch for us this month. I decided to stick with my Halloween theme and make a quick card featuring DeNami's sweet Jack O'Lantern Trio and Polka Dot Background stamps.
I created my card todaywith Denami's white, black and amethyst cardstock . Using the Polka Dot Backgound stamp and some Black Onyx Versafine ink I stamped a strip of orange cardstock from my stash and layered it on the black cardstock. Then I stamped the Jack O'Lantern trio on white cardstock that I cut out using my spellbinders oval die and then layered it on a piece of amethyst cardstock that was cut out using the spellbinders scallop oval die. Using Copic markers YR18, YR68, YG03 and G07 I was able to quickly color in the pumpkins. I popped it on the polka dot strip with some 3M tape and then added some buttons from the new Harvest Boutique Buttons. Rounded two of the corners with my corner rounder and VOILA... a quick and easy card!
Have a happy week and thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Friday my friends! I hope you had a good week. I have been super busy at work thus the infrequent posts lately, but I know you will all forgive me..... you're the BEST!
On to my project..... if you happened to see the featured product this week on the DeNami blog then you will know where I got the inspiration for my project today. If you didn't get a chance to visit then I have a few pics of the original project that was posted. The featured product is the Halloween Petit Fours. They are just too cute aren't they?
This would make a great Halloween party favor or hostess gift. I sandwiched York peppermint patties in between the scallop circle pieces that I punched out using my Marvy 2" scallop circle punch. For the image on the lid I used DeNami's new Small Jack O'Lantern stamp and the Medium Dot Circle Frame.
I thought it would be fun to make some coordinating place cards and put them in a decorative box. I used the Jack O'Lantern Trio which is quickly becoming on of my favorites. I grabbed some ribbon from my stash and added some buttons from the new Harvest Boutique Button collection.
Check back on Monday for DeNami's sketch challenge featuring a fabulous sketch from DeNami DT member Sherri. I will be posting a coordinating card that goes with this set.
Have a wonderful weekend!!

If you are coming from Jo Valderama's blog you have come to the right place. This is my second post for today. Make sure to scroll down to my first post and see the DeNami's featured product this month. If you are participating in the Cuddly Critters Blog Hop welcome to the fun!
I created this card using DeNami's cute and cuddly Chickie w/Heart Balloon. I think this stamp is so sweet. I used DeNami's red and white cardstock along with the Medium Dot Circle Frame stamped with Onyx Black Versafine Ink. I colored the heart balloon in with Copic marker R29. Of course I had to cover him with DeNami's Citrone Sparklet Glitter to give him that cuddly, furry chick look. :)
I love DeNami's Scallop Circle punches and so I used the 2" and 2 1/2" punches to create a layered look. I highlighted my card using some white opal liquid pearls by Ranger and some red/white check ribbon that I found in my stash. Last but not least, the sweet sentiment "You're on my heart" that truly states the feeling expressed in this card. (Sigh) :)
Your next stop on the hop is Annette Holleger's blog. Have a wonderful time!!!!!
Hello Everyone! It is featured product time at DeNami and this month it is DeNami's new Halloween Petit Four set. This set is so darn cute! I decided to create some gift tins for some of my fellow workers and this set fit the bill.
I stamped the Petit Four Halloween images onto DeNami's white cardstock with black memento ink. Then I outlined the image with the Medium Dot Circle Frame. I punched the images out with a 1 3/4" circle punch and then adhered them to black and orange scallop circles that had been punched out using the Marvy 2" Scallop Circle punch. Then I sandwiched a York Peppermint Pattie in between 2 scalloped circles to create a cute and yummy treat.
Gotta love those peppermint patties..... in fact I am eating one as I write this post. Mmmm.... The stamped image on the top of my tin is the adorable Small Jack O'Lantern. I used a tin that I had purchased at my local Michael's that stores 4 patties nicely.
Using a little orange/black polka dot ribbon from my stash I tied a bow and glued a black button to the center.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and don't forget to hop over to the DeNami blog today to check out what all the other designers have created.

Yes, it's time for another color challenge over on the DeNami Design blog. The super creative DT member Michelle chose the great color combo above.
I haven't used my large umbrella stamp lately (probably because we have had a dry, hot summer here in the Midwest) so I decided to get it inky. :)
Make sure you hop on over to DeNami's blog to get the all the deets! Have a good week and a safe holiday weekend.

Happy Monday to all of you! Hope you had a great weekend. A quick post today as I need to get this birthday card off to the post.
I started with a piece of DeNami's white cardstock to create my card base. I stamped the Filigree Centerpeice in Memento's Rich Cocoa onto a scallop circle using my Marvy 2 1/2" Scallop Circle Punch. I colored the filigree in with Brillance Pearlescent Jade ink using a watercolor pen. I thought it needed a rich background color so I punched a 3" scallop circle in DeNami's Chocolate Brown cardstock. Using a white galaxy marker I added a dot on each scallop. I grounded it on a strip of Iridescent Aquamarine and Chocolate Brown cardstock. DeNami's Arched Celebrate Script stamp was the perfect sentiment for my dear friend.
Hope you had something to celebrate today!

Happy Friday! Whoo Hoo! I am am so excited that the weekend is almost here. I have a quick post today. Dawn at WPlus9 is hosting another color cue challenge.
I stamped some fall looking trees with a little Memento's Rich Cocoa, SU's Summer Sun and PTI's Pure Poppy Ink. I chose to mat my images with PTI's Aqua Mist and added a quick scallop border using PTI's medium scallop border die and stamped the scallops with the plaid tree topper from Funky Foliage in Pure Poppy. I'm a sucker for plaids. :) I thought a little of PTI's Pure Poppy Saddle Stitch ribbon would finish off the card nicely. Using pop dots I adhered my image to PTI's Summer Sunrise cardstock. Easy Peasy!!!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hello there everybody and Happy Friday to all of you! Speaking of Happy..... DeNami is having a Birthday theme challenge on the DeNami Design Blog today.
I decided to use black, golden yellow and white for my color combo for this challenge. As most of you already know I am a big fan of DeNami's Large Daisy stamp and since I decided to use this color combo choosing the daisy was a no brainer.
I started with DeNami's white cardstock as my base and used a corner rounder for one corner on my card to add a little interest. I had to restrain myself from rounding the other corner..... I am a bit anal when it comes to these kinds of things. :) Using my Versafine Onyx Black ink I stamped the daisy, colored in the middle with my Y15 and Y17 Copic markers and then cut it out. I wanted it to stand out on my card so I decided to add Sparklets Ultra Fine Glitter to each petal using my Squeeze and Roll Glue Pen by EK.
I am still in polka dot mode from DeNami's first Blog Hop so I grabbed a piece of Golden Tangerine cardstock and stamped DeNami's Polka Dot Background stamp with Versafine Onyx Black ink. Aren't polka dots fun? Then I cut two strips of black cardstock with my small scallop PTI die, adhered it to the golden tangerine polka dot panel and then to the front of my card. I popped my daisy with some foam adhesive and then added a little bling with some rhinestones from Recollections.
I finished off the card with a simple Happy Birthday sentiment from the All Occasion Sentiment stamp set. So Simple!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Happy Wednesday to all of you! I hope your day has started off well. DeNami is featuring one of their new stamps called "Apple Basket" on the DeNami Design blog today. I don't know about you but Fall is definitely my favorite time of the year. I look forward to the crisp cool evenings, the colorful leaves, and my frequent trips to the apple orchard! I love apples....... maybe this is why I am so partial to this stamp.
I started my card by stamping DeNami's new Apple Basket and Large Winter Tree on some cream cardstock and then added some apples from the Apples and Pears Petit Four set. Using the Whimsical Flowers set I stamped the leaves and was able to quickly color my images in using a variety of red, green and brown Copics. I used some Crystal Lacquer on my apples to give them a shiny yummy look. Red cardstock for my card base and a single mat cut from kraft paper created a nice warm tone for the background.
I thought it might be fun to cut out my apple basket and pop it with some foam adhesive to give it a bit more dimension. I finished my card off with a simple "Hello" sentiment from the Assorted Greetings Stamp set.
Make sure you hop over to the DeNami Design Blog and take a peek at some of the creations from some of the talented DeNami DT members.
Have a great day!

Hello there! Just a quick post today as I am preparing to teach EK Success's Scrapbook Design and You tonight at our local Michaels. It is an 8 hour course(done in a 4 week format) that covers tools, organization, color methodology, layout design, element placement, creative writing, decorative pen tricks, journaling and titles, sticker and punch art. Whew!..... thats a long list. I am definitely looking forward to sharing SDU with others.

Buddy is home and resting comfortably after a very eventful day yesterday. His surgery went well and he has plenty of pain medication to keep him comfortable. I think the thing that is making him the most uncomfortable in the cone that he has to wear around his head to keep him from licking his sutures. All in all he is one lucky dog!
Well do you want to know what he swallowed?
Another ACORN!!!!!! Even after we chopped down the tree! We still can't figure out where he got it from. Oh well, I am just so glad to have my Buddy back home safe and sound.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hi Everyone! I just have a quick story to tell today about one of my Miniature Schnauzers "Buddy"(pictured on the right). After a 2 days of flu like symptoms and a long sleepless night last night my little guy had yet another surgery today for a bowel obstruction. Yes, this is surgery #2 for him this year, and yes, you are probably thinking that we are crazy. We are. Crazy in love with this dog, both of them for that matter.
It all started last December with flu like symptoms and many tests later to find that our little guy had an acorn lodged in his small intestine. Do you believe it? An acorn of all things. So, we did what any responsible pet owner would do and proceeded to chop down our big beautiful oak tree in the back yard in an effort to save Buddy from any further acorn escapades. We thought that our troubles were over, but then a few days ago he started exhibiting the same symptoms again. We wasted no time getting him to the emergency clinic this morning and after one ultrasound test they reported that he had swallowed a foreign body. So, we were faced with the decision to have him undergo yet another surgery.
And yes, because we are crazy about this dog, he had surgery this afternoon. I just got a call from the animal hospital that he made it through the surgery and is in ICU. Are you wondering what the foreign body was??????? I haven't talked with the surgeon yet so you will have to come back tomorrow for the all the details.
A special thanks to my blog friend Paulina for keeping him in your thoughts and prayers. :)
Have a blessed night,
